Hydroponic Recommendation System
A cross-platform mobile application that uses rule-based recommendations to help users identify suitable hydroponic methods based on plant and environmental criteria.
The story
Project Overview
The Hydroponic Recommendation System is a cross-platform mobile application developed at Vodonesia to help users identify suitable hydroponic cultivation methods.
The application uses a rule-based approach to provide recommendations based on environmental conditions and plant characteristics.
The Challenge
Choosing a suitable hydroponic method involves considering different environmental and plant-related factors.
The challenge was to translate these criteria into application logic while keeping the mobile interface accessible and easy to understand.
Development Approach
I used Ionic Framework and Angular to build the cross-platform mobile application, with Tailwind CSS supporting responsive interface styling.
The recommendation functionality was implemented using a rule-based approach to evaluate defined criteria and determine suitable hydroponic methods.
I also worked with Figma prototypes to create interfaces that remained consistent across Android and iOS.
My Contributions
- Developed the mobile application using Ionic Framework and Angular.
- Implemented rule-based hydroponic recommendation functionality.
- Built responsive mobile interfaces using Tailwind CSS.
- Translated Figma prototypes into functional application screens.
- Created and optimized promotional banners, in-app illustrations, and store listing screenshots.
- Managed application testing, versioning, and publishing to the Google Play Store and Apple App Store.
- Maintained interface consistency across Android and iOS devices.
Key Takeaways
This project provided an opportunity to combine mobile development with rule-based decision logic.
It also strengthened my experience in delivering cross-platform applications, from interface implementation to app store publishing.
