HRIS Humanis
A cross-platform HR management application featuring geolocation-based attendance, leave management, approval workflows, and Odoo ERP integration to support employee operations.
The story
Project Overview
The Human Resource Information System (HRIS) is a cross-platform mobile application designed to simplify employee management and digitize everyday HR operations.
The application brings essential HR activities into a mobile experience, allowing employees and administrators to interact with HR processes more conveniently.
I worked on HRIS application development in enterprise environments, focusing on mobile functionality, system integration, performance, and user experience.
The Challenge
HR management involves multiple interconnected workflows, from attendance tracking and leave requests to employee records and approval processes.
Building a mobile application around these workflows requires careful consideration of business rules, user roles, data consistency, and integration with existing enterprise systems.
The challenge was to translate these requirements into a mobile experience that remained intuitive while supporting complex internal processes.
Development Approach
I used Flutter to develop a consistent cross-platform experience for Android and iOS.
The application was integrated with Odoo ERP, allowing mobile functionality to interact with existing HR and operational modules.
I also worked closely with backend developers and project managers to ensure that implementation decisions aligned with business requirements.
My Contributions
- Developed and maintained essential HRIS mobile features using Flutter.
- Implemented geolocation-based attendance tracking and fake location detection.
- Built leave and permission request functionality.
- Implemented multi-level approval workflows.
- Developed employee profile and information management features.
- Integrated mobile functionality with Odoo ERP modules.
- Implemented supporting features such as document uploads, push notifications, and role-based access.
- Translated Figma designs into responsive mobile interfaces.
- Supported application testing, maintenance, and publishing to the Google Play Store and Apple App Store.
Performance & Improvements
During my work on HRIS development at PT Jidoka System Indonesia, I contributed to performance and stability improvements that achieved:
- Under 2-second loading times on key application pages.
- 30% reduction in application crash rates across multiple release cycles.
These improvements helped create a more responsive and reliable mobile experience.
Key Takeaways
Working on HRIS applications strengthened my ability to understand complex business workflows and translate them into practical software features.
It also reinforced the importance of performance optimization, enterprise integration, and close collaboration between mobile and backend development teams.
